Together we can stop unwanted and unused fruit

from going to waste

Every year, thousands of trees and shrubs across Stoke-on-Trent bare fruit and the vast majority of this fruit goes unwanted and unused in gardens, parks and orchards across the City.

Fallen From the Tree is a City wide project which aims to combat fruit waste by collecting unwanted, unused and discarded fruit and redistributing it to residents within the community for them to use.

If you have any surplus fruit from trees or shrubs (no matter how big or small) which you would like to donate to our project, please get in touch as we would love to collect it.

Alternatively, if you are a member of the community who would like to use the surplus fruit we collect, then please register your details with us and we will inform you of your local collection point when the fruit has been picked and harvested.

We are always looking for volunteers who can help us to pick and harvest the fruit from private gardens, open spaces, parks and at our larger community orchard event.

Our community apple and pear pressing events are a great opportunity to get active, prepare and press the fruit, which can then be turned into delicious juices.
